Neutra-Guard

Neutra-Guard is a peroxyacetic-acid-based disinfectant-cleaner built for the hardest-to-kill organisms in hospitals, nursing homes, and immediate-care facilities — including C. difficile spores in 2 minutes. As a single-step hospital disinfectant, it’s effective against both enveloped and non-enveloped viruses, meets the CDC Interim Protocol for Ebolavirus and Candida auris, and has low corrosivity to stainless steel.

What makes it different

  • 2-minute C. diff spore kill. Among the fastest contact times on the market for sporicidal claims.
  • Effective against MRSA, VRE, norovirus, rotavirus, HIV-1, HBV, HCV, BVDV. Broad-spectrum bactericidal, virucidal, and fungicidal action.
  • Acidic green chemistry. Decomposes to water and oxygen — no residue, no chlorine gas risk, no quat film build-up on floors.
  • Economical 1:32 dilution. 4 oz per gallon handles water hardness up to 400 ppm and 5% organic soil.
  • Low corrosivity to stainless steel. Safer for medical equipment surfaces than chlorine bleach disinfectants.
  • Effective up to pH 8.0. Doesn’t bind to cotton like most quats — better for soft-surface housekeeping.

What it isn’t for

Not a terminal sterilant for surfaces/instruments introduced directly into the body or contacting intact mucous membranes. Not for utensils, glassware, dishes, or interior sink surfaces of appliances. Rinse food-contact surfaces with potable water before reuse.

Packaging

1-gallon recyclable polyethylene jugs, 4 per case. Jug has a non-removable metering adapter closure to prevent incidental contact with concentrate — use with a Hydro chemical dilution device. Vinegar fragrance, use-dilution pH 2.5 ± 0.5. EPA-registered.

Application directions

Step-by-step instructions. Read all steps and any caution-flagged steps in full before starting.

  1. 1

    Dilute via Hydro dispenser

Connect the metering closure to a Hydro chemical dispenser to mix at 1:32 (4 oz per gallon). Designed for water hardness up to 400 ppm.

  2. 2

    Pre-clean heavy soil

Remove gross soil with the use-solution or any cleaner first. For C. diff outbreak cleaning, wear gloves/gown/mask/eye covering.

  3. 3

    Apply, wet 2 minutes

Apply with mop, cloth, sponge, brush, or coarse spray. Keep surface wet for 2 minutes for the disinfectant claim. For HBV/HCV use 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Air dry or wipe

Allow to air dry; or wipe with a clean wet mop/cloth/wet vac. Rinse food-contact surfaces with potable water before reuse.

  5. 5

    Patient-room sequence

Clean horizontal surfaces right-to-left and vertical surfaces top-to-bottom to minimize spore spread. Restrooms last. Don't reuse soiled cloths.
