First Light
Auto-scrubber floor-finish dressing — clean & restore in one pass
First Light
First Light is a floor-finish dressing for high-traffic synthetic finishes, designed to be the most effective auto-scrubber-compatible cleaner-restorer in Damon’s lineup. A more effective cleaner than Final Result or Ultra-Gloss Restorer, it extends time between deep scrubs and full strip-and-recoats by cleaning while it lays down fresh finish.
What makes it different
- Most effective auto-scrubber restorer. Combines a stronger cleaning system with the polymer chemistry of a restorer — one pass, cleaner floor, fresh finish.
- Burnishes to wet-look gloss. Genie or M/A Blue Blend pad on 1,000-3,000 RPM burnishers.
- 4 oz/gal economical use. Single dilution rate keeps training simple.
- 15-minute dry time. Walk back into use quickly.
What it isn’t for
Heavily soiled floors still need pre-cleaning (Ultra-Gloss Neutral, Da-Clean Neutral, M.P.C., or D-C Plus). Not for wood floors. Do not mix with other products; do not pour unused product back into the original container.
Packaging
Case of 4 one-gallon jugs. Colorless liquid, mild floral odor, V.O.C. 14 g/l (1.4%), ASTM D-2047-75 static COF 0.70. All packaging is recyclable.

Application directions
Step-by-step instructions. Read all steps and any caution-flagged steps in full before starting.
-
1
Pre-clean if heavily soiled
Even though First Light cleans well, heavily soiled floors should be pre-cleaned with Ultra-Gloss Neutral, Da-Clean Neutral, M.P.C., or D-C Plus.
-
2
Mix 4 oz/gal in auto-scrubber
Add 4 ounces of First Light per gallon of cold water in the solution tank.
-
3
Scrub single-pass
Scrub in a single pass releasing enough solution to loosen dirt. Pick up streaks or puddles with a damp cold-water mop.
-
4
Dry 15 minutes
Allow to dry completely (~15 minutes) before burnishing. Puddled solution that dries may not burnish to a high gloss.
-
5
Burnish high-speed
Burnish with a propane or 1,000-3,000 RPM electric burnisher using a Damon Genie or M/A Blue Blend pad. Change/flip the pad every 500-1,000 sq ft. Dust mop with an untreated mop afterward.
