Q-San
Food-contact quaternary sanitizer, no-rinse, USDA-aligned
Q-San
Q-San is a quaternary ammonium food-contact sanitizer concentrate. USDA-aligned for use on previously cleaned food-contact surfaces with no rinse required at the labeled use concentration — the workhorse sanitizer for kitchens, food plants, dairies, bottling, and bar use.
What makes it different
- Food-contact, no-rinse sanitizer. Used at the labeled concentration, Q-San requires no potable-water rinse before food production resumes — saves time and water on every shift change.
- USDA-aligned. Meets the requirements for use in federally inspected meat and poultry plants under USDA-FSIS guidance.
- True concentrate. Dilutes for sanitizer service per labeled directions, giving you pennies-per-gallon working cost.
- Surface-friendly. Compatible with stainless, plastic, glass, and ceramic surfaces typical of food handling environments.
What it isn't for
Not a cleaner — use Da-Clean A.P.C. or another approved cleaner first; Q-San is a sanitizer applied after cleaning. Not a hospital-grade disinfectant. Refer to the SDS for full handling guidance and the label for exact dilution and contact time.
Packaging
One-gallon plastic jugs (case of four) and five-gallon pails. Free ground shipping to the lower 48. Backed by Damon's guarantee.
What it isn't
Not a cleaner — wash and rinse with an approved detergent first. Not a hospital-grade disinfectant. Always verify ppm with quat test strips.
Surface compatibility
Tested at label concentration on common facility surfaces. For uncommon substrates, request a compatibility test from your Damon rep.
