D-C Cleaner
Multi-purpose concentrate — from garage floors to grand pianos
D-C Cleaner
D-C Cleaner is a non-flammable multi-purpose concentrate that cuts through grease, grime, and dirt on virtually any water-safe surface — from a garage floor to a grand piano. Its “Elbow Grease” feature traps dirt as you wipe, eliminating the need to rinse except on the heaviest soil.
Damon's flagship general-purpose chemistry since the 1970s. One concentrate, infinite dilutions, sassafras scent. Built for facilities, fleets, and food-processing back-of-house that need ONE bottle to handle 90% of cleaning jobs without specialty SKUs cluttering the supply closet.
What makes D-C Cleaner different
- Truly multi-purpose. Cleans concrete and wood, motor parts, upholstery, food-processing equipment, painted walls and woodwork, waxed floors — the same one bottle.
- No-rinse on standard soil. The Elbow Grease formulation traps dirt so you mop or wipe it away without a rinse step. Rinse only on very heavy dirt.
- Non-flammable. No dangerous solvents. Safer for users and the environment than solvent-based alternatives.
- Highly dilutable. One concentrate adapts to every cleaning task by varying dilution. Cost-effective — a single 5-gallon pail covers months of floor work.
- Sassafras scent. Leaves a pleasant aroma after cleaning — doubles as a deodorizer.
What D-C Cleaner isn’t for
Not for surfaces that can’t be wetted (unsealed leather, electronics, water-sensitive finishes). Not a disinfectant or sanitizer — use a dedicated EPA-registered product for those needs. Heavily soiled food-prep surfaces should be rinsed after cleaning.
Packaging
1-quart bottles, 1-gallon bottles (sold individually or in cases of 4), 5-gallon pails, 30-gallon drums, and 55-gallon drums. All Damon packaging is recyclable.
What it isn't
Not a disinfectant or sanitizer — use an EPA-registered product for pathogen kill. Not for surfaces that can't be wetted (unsealed leather, electronics, water-sensitive finishes). Rinse heavily soiled food-prep surfaces with potable water before food contact.
Surface compatibility
Tested at label concentration on common facility surfaces. For uncommon substrates, request a compatibility test from your Damon rep.

Application directions
Step-by-step instructions. Read all steps and any caution-flagged steps in full before starting.
-
1
Dilute per task
Mix D-C Cleaner with water at a dilution suited to soil level. For light cleaning, dilute heavily; for heavy grease and grime, use a more concentrated mix. Refer to the Tech Sheet for typical use ratios.
-
2
Apply to floor or surface
Mop or spray the diluted solution onto the floor or surface. For non-floor cleaning, apply with cloth, sponge, or spray bottle.
-
3
Allow soak time
Let the solution work for 5–10 minutes (3–5 minutes if using a scrubbing machine or a more concentrated dilution). This is when the Elbow Grease feature traps dirt and grime.
-
4
Mop or scrub off
Mop or scrub the solution off. Dirt and grime follow, leaving a brilliantly clean surface and a pleasant sassafras scent.
-
5
Rinse only on heavy dirt
No rinse is needed under normal soil conditions. For very heavy dirt, follow with a clean water rinse to remove any remaining residue.
