Liquid Bacogen
Bacterial enzyme digester for drains, traps, septic, holding tanks
Liquid Bacogen
Liquid Bacogen is a non-toxic, non-polluting bacterial enzyme digester and deodorant for drains, grease traps, septic systems, porta-toilets, and vehicle waste-holding tanks. The mixture of enzymes works on all organic wastes — breaking down grease so it can’t re-deposit downstream — and the pleasant fragrance eliminates offensive odors at the source rather than masking them.
What makes it different
- Mixture of enzymes, not just one. Targets fats, oils, proteins, and starches together — broader spectrum than single-enzyme products.
- Non-emulsifying grease breakdown. Grease is digested into smaller, soluble pieces that won’t re-deposit and clog downstream — unlike soap-based degreasers.
- Non-hazardous. Safe for the user and friendly to municipal sewage systems and septic biology.
- Even works on pet stains. Versatile enough to spot-clean organic stains and odors from many carpets and fabrics.
What it isn’t for
Not for inorganic clogs (mineral scale, hair, foreign objects). Not a disinfectant. Test on inconspicuous carpet/fabric before spot use. Not an instant fix — enzymes work over hours and days.
Packaging
1-quart bottles (12 per case), 5-gallon pails, and 55-gallon drums. Hydro AutoDose 1080 timed metering pump available for automatic dispensing — 8 D batteries run up to 2 years.

2
Grease traps
Under 20 cu ft (120 gal): 5 oz daily. Larger traps: 10-12 oz daily. Add to the sink/drain closest to the trap, ideally at night when usage is lowest. Flush with a cup of lukewarm water.

3
Septic tanks
Initial dose: 1 pint per 25 cu ft capacity. Maintenance: 8 oz per week — flush down a toilet. For a clogged tank, add 1 gallon directly through the manhole.

Porta-toilets & vehicle tanks
