DMD 355
Chlorinated dish machine detergent — buffered, potassium-based
DMD 355
DMD 355 is a highly concentrated chlorinated liquid mechanical dishwash detergent built around next-generation surfactants. Its balanced, chlorine-fortified formula attacks soils more efficiently than three- or four-ingredient detergents — six functional ingredients work in concert for sparkling dishes in either high- or low-temperature warewashers.
What makes it different
- Buffered alkalinity. More useful cleaning power spread across the wash cycle, less harmful caustic spike — and less rapid decline mid-cycle.
- Potassium, not sodium. Potassium hydroxide and silicate penetrate food soils faster (smaller anion), produce less hard-water scum, and rinse cleaner than sodium-based equivalents.
- Silicate guard. Reduces oxidation of soft metals (aluminum, copper) under high-alkaline wash conditions.
- Chlorinated booster. Better control of food stains, protein soils, and lingering odors.
- Sequesters hard water. Binds calcium so it can’t consume alkalinity, improving both cleaning and rinsability.
What it isn’t for
Not for hand dishwashing (use Lark or Da-Clean Ultra). Not a sanitizer (pair with Sanitizer ES or Q-San). Not for soft-metal-rich tableware without confirming compatibility under your wash conditions.
Packaging
Cases of 4 one-gallon poly jugs and 5-gallon plastic pails. All packaging is recyclable. Backed by 80+ years of Damon dietary-chemical expertise — your account manager can build a custom program around your local water and soil profile.

Application directions
Step-by-step instructions. Read all steps and any caution-flagged steps in full before starting.
-
1
Set up the chemical pump
Install DMD 355 in the warewasher's detergent dispenser per the machine's manual. Damon service can analyze water hardness and dial in the dose.
-
2
Pre-scrape & rack
Scrape gross food off plates and rack dishes properly so the wash arms can hit every surface.
-
3
Pair with MRA 400 rinse and a sanitizer
For the complete dietary program use MRA 400 rinse aid and either Sanitizer ES (chlorine) or Q-San (quat) per local food code.
-
4
Monitor and adjust monthly
Damon's dietary service visits monthly to verify titration, swap empty drums, and tune the program to changing water and menu.
